Hi, I'm Venessa.
FOUNDER OF SKIN LUXE BOUTIQUE
Several years after college, I found that my passion for the skin industry was still calling for me and enrolled in an aesthetics program in Evanston, Illinois. Truth be told, I have always loved skin, doing extractions on everyone, and started a routine of my own at a very young age. After completing my 750 hour program, I worked for a med spa, followed by a ten year hiatus to be at home with my children. In my late 30's my skin took a turn for the worse, my hormones went nuts, and I I decided it was time to get back into the industry. Struggling with acne and melasma, I found myself digging for answers. In September of 2019 Skin Luxe Boutique came to life..... just in time for COVID to shut me down, yet here we are! That time allowed me to jump head first into as much education and training as possible, and I was able to keep the business alive (as a solo practitioner) through the support of my closest circle and supporters. When you love your work you will always find a way. Fast forward to today, I can say I am very proud of my little boutique skin studio and love every minute of what I GET to do.
The industry has evolved tremendously in the past fifteen years and what was once "textbook" theories has now become this incredible space between medical, holistic, and whole body health. Not only do we now look at the skin as a true reflection of the internal balances and imbalances, but my clients are walking in the door with an impressive awareness and understanding that was not seen in previous years. Together we can make magic happen.
